20 invitations to come home to your true Self

If you’re feeling a nudge to come home to your true Self, here are twenty invitations to help you begin:

1.    Begin paying attention to your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses. What do you find yourself thinking about? Feeling? What’s your body asking you to notice? How are you responding?

2.      What brings you life? What do you enjoy? How can you fold these rhythms into your everyday?

3.      What messages, narratives or non-truths no longer serve you? What would it look like to lay these down?

4.      What do you need to forgive yourself for? Who else?

5.      Where are you feeling stirred to step into something new? Here’s your permission slip to trust and try.

6.      Think about how you treat your friends. How can you treat yourself with the same love, boundaries, and acceptance?

7.      Speaking of acceptance, what parts of yourself do you need to acknowledge and honor, and what parts do you need to gently ask to take a back seat?

8.      Adopt the mantra, “grace and space” and then live it out.

9.      Take nature walks and leave your phone at home. Notice what you see, hear, smell and experience. Gather these moments like consolation pebbles for your path.

10.   Connect with your body in a restorative yoga class.

11.  Cease giving energy to those who don’t give it back.

12.  Don’t apologize for your tears. They be healing.

13.  Consider who you feel safe and welcomed by and surround yourself with these people.

14.  Allow the pendulum to swing and know you’ll find equanimity in due time.

15.  Love lavishly. Receive love equally.

16.  For every negative self-thought, plant a flower and watch beauty grow from darkness.

17.  Begin a practice of writing a daily poem or drawing a picture to represent what inspired you.

18.  Be tender with yourself.

19.  Allow yourself to grieve and heal without rushing past your pain.

20.  Be honest. Your soul already knows the truth.
