FAQ

  • Because there is no one-size-fits-all human, I will use research-based modalities to uniquely meet your specific needs, pace, and goals with a customized treatment plan.

  • No, I do not take insurance but am more than happy to write a Superbill for a healthcare claim.

  • For new and seasoned clients, come with specific goals and hopes you’d like to focus on. Remember that healing takes time, so please come open, patient with the process, and mindful that counseling is not a space that gives advice or offers quick fixes, but explores your story, integrates mind-body-heart connection, and empowers change from maladaptive ways of thinking, roles, and relational patterns.

  • The first session (intake) is about gathering information, hearing what brings you to counseling presently, and assessing your specific goals. From there a treatment plan is put in place. I suggest weekly sessions for the purpose of establishing consistency and then reevaluating at 8 weeks to honor your specific needs and finances.

  • Yes, I offer telehealth, HIPAA-compliant sessions for clients who are permanent TN residents. While I believe that something beautiful happens when in the same room, virtual is a convenient alternative.
