Befriending Compassion

Compassion, when fueled by Holy Care
is healing and nurturing
a bending low to see the unseen
to feed the hungry
to attune to the hurting

This compassion is the heartbeat of Jesus
experienced through unconditional love and resistance of ego
In its humble state
eyes are opened
wounds are mended
trauma is named and healed

May compassion ever-flow through my veins
keeping me near
my good shepherd who deeply cares and protects
goes after my child heart and reassures,
’I come with compassion and open arms.’
