A Therapist’s Prayer

God, I ask for Your eyes
to see the brave soul I sit with
to care with deep compassion
to embody Your peace

Release me, please, from old beliefs
that say I am responsible to carry them
or do their work

For, You, are the healer, the soul-restorer
the regulator of traumatized systems
the One who clears away confused thinking
Who brings calm and a confident knowing

May they come home to their true self

Give me Spirit-inspired questions
intuited for their good
and Your glory

Please use me, as a secure, soft vessel

May each client know that they are
accepted
whole
and enough

That they are invited to experience
self-awareness
growth
and healing

As I offer gracious space
that empowers them to
dig, remove weeds, and cultivate blossoms
that reflect delight

May they feel more than able
to flourish
long after they leave my office.
